This R&D program views Shibuya in its entirety as a living urban lab, exploring the potential for technology to enhance human well-being.
Through collaboration between government, businesses, universities and citizens, we are shaping a unique urban model for Shibuya; giving concrete form to our vision via policy development and cultural support initiatives.
Our activities follow a grassroots-first cycle of problem identification × research × validation × enactment.Through practical projects we identify challenges, validate them through repeated testing, and implement solutions within society.
We aim to create an environment where individuals feel affirmed, extending beyond the confines of work and family.
