The Shibuya Innovation Institute has fully revamped its official website to more clearly communicate the organization's mission: "to research, design, and implement solutions to urban challenges by treating Shibuya itself as a living lab, in collaboration with stakeholders and experts."
Aims of the Renewal
We have expanded our activities as a co-creation organization exploring the interaction between technology and humanity, aiming to realize the future vision outlined in Shibuya City's Basic Concept. This site renewal was undertaken to communicate our activities more clearly and in real time.
Key Changes
- Refreshed Visual IdentityThe design expresses the dynamism of Shibuya alongside a vision of the future where technology and humanity harmonize.
- Activity Categories and VisualizationThe three pillars–Lab, Co-Creation Project, and Startup Support–are readily identifiable and easier to navigate.
- Enhanced Global Outreach (Japanese-English Support)We have expanded our English pages to better facilitate collaboration with domestic and international partners and startups.
Future Outlook
Through our renewed official website, we will be able to more effectively share the experimentation and implementation processes that turn Shibuya as a single 'living lab'. Moving forward, we will accelerate our activities to realize a society where each individual can choose their own form of prosperity, connecting the technologies and ideas of startups, the insights of corporations, and the sensibilities of citizens.
